Australian Rotary Conference “Towards a Stronger Australian Rotary”
August 21-22 2010 Canberra
Gill Whitehouse reports:
This conference was attended by over 250 Australian Rotarians from all Districts, including Timor- Leste. It was due to the hard work done by national Rotary leaders, particularly in Membership and PR, that this significant conference was organized .
The main themes to inspire us to work towards further strengthening Rotary in our country were:-
“Support and strengthen Rotary Clubs”
“Enhance the image of Rotary”
“Focus and Increase Humanitarian Service “
Plenary sessions delivered by dedicated Rotarians, including the RI President Ray Klinginsmith and a few Zone Directors. They were ably joined by some dedicated Australian leaders who supported and guided us at all times in the areas of PR and Membership. “Breakout sessions “allowed delegates to voice their opinions, all discussions being led by trained Rotary facilitators. Information from those sessions was collated, and reported back to enable Rotarians to take back ideas and inspirations to their respective clubs and Districts.
