Fiji Flood Disaster January 2012
Rotary in Fiji via Rotary New Zealand World Community Service and District 9920 are providing immediate response to those severely affected by th
e recent and ongoing flooding.
There is a coordinated response being managed by Rotarian Bob Niranjan with distribution of prepositioned Emergency Response Kits and food parcels being assembled and delivered to families and communities.
Rotarians in New Zealand have asked how they can assist personally. We invite all Rotarians and others, to consider making a donation to purchase a NZ $40 food parcel which will provide basic non-perishables for a family of four for a week. These are being supplied to Rotary on credit in good faith by grocery merchants in Fiji.

As money is urgently needed
Donations would be appreciated to the Rotary New Zealand 2012 Fiji Flood Appeal via:
- Rotary New Zealand World Community Service where there is a PayPal credit card facility, or
- Internet banking telegraphic transfer to Westpac Banking Corporation, Wellington, NZ account number 03 1702 0192208 02 (international donors will also require Swift Code WPACNZ2W, IBAN Code 031702) for account name RNZWCS Limited (Rotary New Zealand), and include reference Fiji Flood , and/or donor name and club
- Cheque made payable to RNZWCS Limited posted to PO Box 20309, Christchurch 8543, New Zealand
If the food parcel appeal is oversubscribed, then the surplus will be used to directly assist those in need and/or replenish the Emergency Response Kits.
