Responsible for the initial coordination of emergency relief requirements throughout the District and chaired annually by the immediate Past District Governor.

Responsible for overseeing and approving expenditure of District funds designated for the Victorian bushfire relief program.

QUEENSLAND FLOOD FUND (January 2010)
Responsible for overseeing and approving the expenditure of District
funds designated for the relief from the 2011 Queensland floods.

DISTRICT INSURANCE OFFICER

The District, Clubs, Rotarians, their partners and volunteers are covered by the Rotary National Insurance Program. Insurance is available for officially constituted Rotary activities. For details or questions on whether a particular event is covered, please contact the District Insurance Officer.

Copy of Insurance Certificate of Currency will be available for each club on request. These are needed by some organisations for staging events, e.g. Councils.

Prior to holding an event it is a requirement for insurance purposes that you assess the risks of your activity. These forms will assist you with such a check.

REGISTRATION FOR ROTARY INTERNATIONAL MEMBER ACCESS

Current club secretaries should advise RI of incoming office bearers on or before 31st December each year. This can be done via www.rotary.org

Member Access Portal. With Member Access, club presidents and secretaries can

      • View and change club membership data
      • Pay club dues. • Search club and district data.
      • Update club data.
      • View reports of Rotary Foundation contributions

To register for Member Access you will need the following:

      • Your district's number (9830)
      • Your club's number – (obtainable from your club secretary – refer last semi-annual report)
      • Your membership ID number - obtainable from your club secretary – refer last semi-annual report)
      • A valid e-mail address

How can you obtain the necessary numbers to register for Member Access?

      • From your club secretary (1st option)
      • By email request to your Club and District Support Representative at: Joy.Walker@rotary.org
      • By email request from RI's Data Services Department at: data@rotary.org

Once you have registered your identification numbers, Member Access will prompt you to designate your e-mail address as your username. A password will then be e-mailed to you. When returning to Member Access, sign in with your username (e-mail address) and the password you received. You may change your password and username in Member Access.
