Gerard has lived all his life in the Circular Head area and joined the Rotary Club of Smithton in 2001. He has held a number of positions within the club and been a member of most committees over this time. Gerard has had 12 years in various roles on the club’s board and he was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow in 2008. Gerard and Fiona have enjoyed hosting Youth Exchange students over the years with five students calling their place home.

Gerard and Fiona were married in 1993 and have three children, Scott, Simon and Megan and two grandchildren, Tori and Brodie. They enjoy spending time with family and friends and have enjoyed travelling both within Australia and overseas. They both enjoy reading and Gerard spends quite a few hours in his vegie patch.

Gerard has been very active within the sporting environs of Circular Head in playing, coaching and administrating several sports. He worked with Roberts Ltd for 31 years, mainly as the Rural Finance Manager in the Circular Head Region. Fiona is a Travel Consultant, with Roberts Ltd for 25 years and presently Smithton Travel.


Gerard and Fiona are looking forward to serving the District, renewing old acquaintances and developing many new friendships.
