Rotary Tasmania Police Excellence Award

Our inaugural award was presented on 26 June 2016

Two Tasmanian police officers were awarded inaugural Rotary Tasmania Police Awards in recognition of their outstanding work: Senior Constable Annabel Shegog for community policing service, and Senior Sergeant Rod Carrick for motor vehicle accident investigation and driver training (Rod has been involved with RYDA since its inception in Tasmania).

If you know of a Tasmanian Police officer who has excelled at their job, nominate them for the Annual Rotary Tasmania Police Excellence Award.

Two  awards are presented .

  1. Nominations from the District Police Commanders.

  2. Nominations from Rotarians who may wish to nominate a police officer that they consider fits the criteria.

The Awards recognise the hard work all police officers contribute to our community. The officers nominated highlight that police work is both varied and challenging and greatly affects people from all walks of life. Policing is not only a job; it is a way of life. Recognising a police officer with a nomination reinforces that members of the police are not simply uniforms, but also community members who share the same concerns as others.
