Cycles of Life 2010

Cycles of Life 2008 celebrated the life and dedication of then DG Bernie Charles with a ride to his Conference in Smithton. This ride raised $25,000 for the Australian Rotary Health Research Fund, which was sensational!

  In 2009 a bigger and better event was planned to coordinate with DG Michael Perkin's Conference at the Tail Race Centre in Launceston.

 
This was the route of the 2009 event

Start: Batman Bridge (distance 35 km)
Immediate turn left after leaving Bridge and ride to Deviot to Gravelly Beach (14 km)
Left onto Highway for 500metres
Turn left into Rosevears and follow road on the right to head to Rosevears and then back to Highway (10km)
Continue to Freshwater Roundabout and then onto the West Tamar Highway to Tailrace Centre.(11km)

 Once again the “Yellow Jerseys” were available to those who raise $2000 or more. Those riders from last year can top up their account and get their jerseys this year.

If you have earned your jersey, then aim for another this year.

For any rider who achieves three jerseys over a six-year period, there will be a special jersey manufactured to celebrate our major supporters.

You will become the founding members of “Rotary’s Cycle of Life Legends”.
