I'm sorry, I don't speak english very well. I studied english only 2 years.

I am very pleased with my visit to your country. I think it is going to be very interesting.

I am responsible for Education, Culture, Sport and Leisure im my town. I am a Municipal Secretary and I would like to visit municipal, state, federal and private schools and universities, I mean, all the places related to education, culture, sport and leisure. These visits will be of great importance to me.

I am looking forward to them.

My name's Wellington Rocha,
one of the team members of the group which is going to visit you next February. My friends and I would like to tell you how glad we are for going to such a nice place. We are looking forward to getting there, visiting the cities, making new friends, besides learning from all of you, of course. We have been getting together preparing everything to show you a little of our country, state and the city of each one of us.

As you asked in your e-mail to Maria Helena, I´ll tell you a little about myself:

I have taught English at a private English Course called CCLS (Cultural Center for Language Studies) for about 10 years. It´s a course with over 900 branches around the world and I do like its methodology, since the little I know of English I´ve learned in this course. I´ve also been working at a Business Administration College, and I hope I´ll learn vocabulary related to business during my stay there, to improve my classes.

Well, that´s not all. Since 2004 I´ve been teaching English at a public school, working with students from 5th to 8th grade. I enjoy a lot being in contact with people, and teaching them is, in fact, a great experience for me. I´ve also worked as a translator. I finished a Post graduation course in translation English/Portuguese last year.

Since I´ve never left Brazil, I believe I am going to have the great opportunity of my life in your country, learning a lot about your language and culture. I am willing to do my best and be useful when exchanging experience with all of you.

My name's Virgínia B. Silva,
aged 28, Executive Secretary for a Telecom company in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. I work supporting managers and executives in order to organize and help them on their business routine. My interests are: computer, languages, management, music and movies.

I would like to undertake the following activities during the tour:

- Visit companies in order to exchange ideas with Tasmanian counterparts; exchange experience with them (I've worked for one of the biggest car producers in Brazil, Fiat Automóveis).

- Have meals with counterparts to get to know them better.

- Learn about differences between the two countries.

- Visit an university/school to get to know the Tasmania Education System.

- Go to local shows, concerts and cultural programs in general.

Enjoy Tasmania's landscape.

I'm very glad with this great opportunity of going abroad, be in touch with another culture, exchange ideas, improve my English and meet all of you in Tasmania. I'm positive it will be a wonderful experience in my life.
