District Simplified Grants and Individual Grants.
Clubs may apply through the District for a Grant to cover a small local project. Clubs must endeavour to match $ for $ to secure DGs funding. Applications may be lodged with the Foundation Grants Chair, whose committee has the discretion to approve the project and payment on terms it considers appropriate. Reporting and accurate accounting for the Grant and associated expenditure are key requirements.
Matching Grants.
These are intended to assist a community in need through an international service project carried out in cooperation with Rotarians in another District in another country. a significant portion of contributions to the project must come from outside the project site country. there are two categories:
• Matching Grants of between US$5000 and US$25,000
• Competitive Matching Grants of between US$25,001 and US$150,000.
Projects can be sourced from publications detailing World Community Service projects and through RAWCS, from contacts your club members may have had with overseas Rotarians through programs such as GSE. The Rotary Foundation will match contributions to the project on a $ for $ basis, if the funds are an allocation from the District Dedicated Fund. If the funds are cash contributions to the Rotary Foundation, those contributions will be matched 50 cents for each dollar contributed.

Health , Hunger & Humanitarian [3 - H] Grants, plus other Funding Programs external to the Rotary Foundation
3-H Grants are awarded on a competitive basis to fund long term, self help grass roots development projects, which are too large for a Club or District to implement. the committee also seeks other partnership funding opportunities to complement the 3-H program.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation pledge of US $100 million over 3 years is a challenge that we must accept. If every club in this District contributes US$1000 each year for the next 3 years – then we will have met that challenge.
