Pakistan Disaster Relief

THIS MESSAGE FORWARDED TO ALL DISTRICT GOVERNORS - AUSTRALIA by Bruce Allen Manager, The Rotary Foundation - South Pacific & Philippines Office, 20 August 2010, updated 28 August.

Advice has been received that the Rotary Foundation has opened a Disaster Relief Fund for Pakistan and is happy to accept donations from clubs, individuals and from District DDF funds.
We can offer tax deductibility to individuals and corporations

These contributions will be centrally consolidated in Evanston and used to support matching grant programs specifically designed to relieve suffering and to restore well-being in Pakistan. These will be “second phase” programs and will not necessarily be of an immediate nature. While these personal and corporate contributions are tax deductible, they will not attract PHF points. Club contributions will also not attract PHF credits.

Contributions can be made using the appropriate form which will direct the funds through The Australian Rotary Foundation Trust. This form can be used for a contribution by cheque, direct debit or credit card and the contributor should simply write “Pakistan Disaster Relief” across the top to make his or her intentions known.
