Professional Development Exchange

The Professional Development Exchange program is a Rotary Tasmania initiative that replaces the former Rotary Foundation supported Group Study Exchange program but with a more active professional/business development emphasis.

PDE is a unique professional and cultural exchange opportunity for business people and professionals between the ages of 25 and 40 who are in the early stages of their careers.

Team members experience the host country’s culture and institutions, observe how their vocations are practiced abroad, develop personal and professional relationships, and exchange ideas. The team is led by an experienced Rotarian selected from Club nominations.

Professional Development Exchange
New Zealand 2023

District 9830 and District 9940 have joined forces to create a Professional Development Exchange (PDE) program, to be undertaken in May and June 2023.

District 89830 covers the whole State of Tasmania and District 9940 encompasses much of the Southern portion of the North island of New Zealand.

Both regions offer similar industries in viticulture and tourism and it is those vocations this program seeks interested applicants from.

Successful participants from Tasmania will tour industries in NZ during May and the NZ team, tour Tasmanian industries in June.

Interested parties should make contact with their nearest Rotary Club for more information.
